The Wildflowers are Back

MAY is one of my favorite months for weddings.  Almost all flowers are available and it’s the season when everything is so beautiful, bright, and vibrant.  A big trend for this year’s wedding season has been the natural organic wildflower feel with a variety of mixed flowers and foliage.  I had the pleasure of working with Hannah & Micah on their vision of a natural organic wedding held Friday, May 6th at the beautiful Bella Collina Mansion located in Stokesdale, NC.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with this young couple and their mothers.  It was nice having a Groom who took an active part in the floral planning.  Their original vision changed but I think that you’ll agree the end result was beautiful.  Before I left Bella Collina, as I always do, I made it a point to thank the mothers and speak to the Bride.  I hinted to Hannah that she looked like a “woodland flower fairy” complete with the floral halo and wildflower bouquet.  She smiled as her eyes lit up and clearly stated, “Well, I have achieved my goal.”
